Checking In to The Langham London

There is perhaps no single hotel in all of London as luxurious and quintessential as The Langham. Having been around for 150 years, The Langham is a household name in London and having undergone significant renovations, manages to match classic charm with modern day luxuries. I checked in for a two night stay to enjoy the property and its’ iconic location in the heart of London. Inside my Suite: With a view of the London Eye no less! With executive club lounge access I enjoyed a seamless check-in with my bags sent to my room waiting immediately and luckily for me, an early check-in in the early afternoon. The club lounge is located on the third floor of the hotel and allows guests an oasis to enjoy complimentary food and drink all day long, office facilities and a generous buffet breakfast spread in the mornings. My suite was located on the eighth floor of the hotel, overlooking the city and with a clear view of the London Eye in the distance. During my stay I was treated to...

Checking In to Hasbrouck House, Upstate New York

A Weekend Upstate at Hasbrouck House With a tagline of “history meets luxury”, I knew in just those three words alone that this was going to be one of those special weekends you talk about for years to come. Having just arrived on the East Coast, I was eager to explore beyond New York City and see more of what Upstate New York has to offer. An 18th-century Dutch Colonial stone mansion, Hasbrouck House is home to twenty suites across the entire property and pays tribute to its heritage with the playful addition of Art Deco – meets – luxe industrial interior design to bring this boutique hotel to life. The property has been the idyllic backdrop for countless weddings and events, with 50 acres of countryside to explore, including a private walking trail and lake (ugh, the romance!) Hasbrouck House is located in the Hudson Valley, approximately two hours drive from New York City. Despite being an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, the property...

Checking In: Nxabega Okavango Camp

Ever pictured yourself taking in an African sunset from the comfort of your outdoor deck, gently swinging in the early evening breeze with a good book in hand? I did just that on my recent visit to Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp in Botswana. After spending a few days at Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge nearby, I took a short ten-minute flight further south to Nxabega Tented Camp, a tiny property of just 11 luxuriously appointed tents in the bush of Botswana. With the term glamping firmly cemented in any millennial mind, I’m sure you can easily picture just how perfectly appointed these tents were. But for the sake of clarity, here is a look inside my recent experience at Nxabega Tented Camp in Botswana ! Arriving in Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp I arrived off a flight around midday to my waiting safari vehicle, ready to hit the ground running and spot some wildlife en route to camp! Nxabega Tented Camp feels a world away from reality as you step off the vehicle and on to the path...
