I don’t like the phrase “No Regrets” because it romanticizes our mistakes and overlooks the fact that we could have made better choices. Mistakes Growing up, my mother framed mistakes in the following way: Everyone is trying to get somewhere. We are all on a different path and we can get there, but the more mistakes we make, the heavier our load is throughout our walk. That is why it’s called “baggage.” It doesn’t mean you can’t get there, it just means you can’t walk as fast. Avoid decisions that will slow you down from getting to where you want to be in life.
