Review: Aerie Wireless Bra and Bralette – Perfect for WFH & Travel

Hello lovely humans. I hope you’re all surviving, thriving and doing whatever you need to get through these crazy times. Since we’re all staying at home a lot more than normal comfort is KEY when it comes to our ensembles.

So, I decided to order myself five different styles of wireless bra and bralettes from Aerie. Lord knows I do not need an underwire in my life trying to stab me in the heart or slice into my ribs. Also, the wireless bras and bralettes will be great for travelling when we can finally get back out into the world again.

Of course, having a large chest (36E UK size) I had my concerns and reservations about wireless bras. Honestly, I would have believed it was impossible if I hadn’t watched some Youtube videos by Sierra Schultzzie and Caralyn Mirand. But, seeing several ladies try bralettes on successfully gave me the confidence to order a bunch for myself.

In this post I’ll take you through the different styles I ordered, why I chose Aerie bralettes/ wireless bras and I’ll include photos and a Youtube try on video. Ok, let’s go.

Why I Chose Aerie

Ok, so I fell in love with Aerie a couple of years ago after seeing Iskra Lawrence post about their leggings. Then, on a trip to the USA I went into the store and realised that everything was soft, comfortable and inclusive. They provided a range of sizes. They even did swimsuits in a range of different lengths from short to long. It was a revelation.

Recently they’ve started covering all fees and taxes so that you can pretty much order from anywhere in the world (there are a couple of exclusions) without worrying about getting hit with surprise import fees – THE DREAM! So, I don’t even need to go into store anymore, which is just as well because I can’t imagine that I’ll be able to head to the USA again any time soon.

Their slogan is Aerie Real (#aeriereal) and every year Aerie chooses inspirational role models to be part of their campaigns. Their entire ethos is about power, positivity and absolutely no retouching. I guess I just love their good vibes.

If you go in store you’ll find inspirational messages and positive affirmations on the mirrors. And sure, I know it’s ultimately a business that’s all about those profits, but they do it by making you feel great and I’m not mad about it.

The Five Wireless Bras and Bralettes I Ordered

Aerie Softest Lace Classic Bralette

10/10 for the Aerie Softest Lace Classic Bralette

I ordered this in an XL DD in black and it is my absolute favourite. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen plenty of posts about this bralette. It’s supportive but still pretty. It has adjustable straps. It feels amazing, so much so that I basically forget that I’m wearing it.

Of course, it’s still a bralette so it’s not for high impact activities. But I did a Yoga By Adriene video while wearing it and had no slips. The back is not adjustable, but it’s elasticated so should fit most people comfortably.

So comfy!

I don’t really have any negatives to say about this one because it’s my favourite and I ended up buying it in two further colours (nude and white) but they only had the XL not the XLDD so they’re a bit tighter than my beloved black one, but still comfy.

You can check it out here – it’s actually on clearance at the mo for $12.47/€11/£10 (those are rough conversion). It would be there forever but there are plenty of other similar styles on the site as well.

Aerie Happy Lace Long Line Ribbed Bralette

Review Aerie bralette longline ribbed
Pretty in pink bralette.

I ordered this in an L (they didn’t do bigger) and the colour pink. This is my second favourite. It’s bright, pretty, comfortable and quite supportive. Again, I’ve worn this during yoga and it was fine, though the girls were trying to sneak out during downward dog at one point.

I like the long line lace at the bottom, though it does roll up sometimes, but I guess that’s to be expected. In general I would 100% be happy to do a long haul flight in this and have already worn it for several days of working from home.

The L is actually perfect, but it seems strange that there wasn’t an XL option. There’s nothing adjustable on this one but the elastic is grand and doesn’t seem to restrict any blood flow anywhere, which is important. It certainly fit my body well, so if you’re anything like me you should be good.

You can check out the full details here . Again it was in the clearance section and only cost $11.98/€10.50/£9 (again, rough estimates, but the USD is correct). I would have ordered more of this one in different colours but they didn’t have any in my size.

Aerie Chill Padded Seamless Bralette

Not quite as supportive but definitely more generous sizing and supremely comfortable.

I bought this one in an L in the colour black. This is my third favourite (seeing a trend here?!). It’s extremely comfortable but doesn’t do too much in the way of support. It has nice thick straps and comes in handy standard colours for going under things.

This one definitely doesn’t lift up the girls as much as the others or give too much shape, but what it lacks in support it makes up for in pure comfort. It’s like a highly elevated version of a standard Primark/Penneys bralette. You could nearly wear it as a crop top because it’s fairly full coverage.

The bit underneath the boobs can ride up a bit with movement, but like I said before, that pretty much happens with every long line bra. It didn’t put me off. I’d pretty much forgive this bralette anything because it feels so good when it’s on.

You can read more about this bralette here. It cost $14.97/€13/£11. I’ve ordered this again in white because I’m obsessed with the comfort level.

Aerie Real Free Padded Bralette

Definitely needed an XL in this but would absolutely adore this if it fit perfectly. For the small boobed ladies, I recommend this in all the colours.

Ok, so I ordered this one in an L (they didn’t do an XL) and in pink. I wish, wish, WISH they had it in bigger sizes because I absolutely love the look and feel of this wireless bra, but it’s just not quite perfect. But I can’t use the lack of sizing to fault the bra, because if I’d been able to get the XL I would have been in love with this. It does say “more sizes coming soon” on the website, so hopefully they’ll eventually stock the larger sizes.

The material is that sort of seamless material that you can’t see under tops and it feels great. It has removable pads. It has metallic rungs connecting the straps, so none of that flimsy plastic that might break. Like, if my boobs could fit into this perfectly, without the little bit of spillage, I would buy this in EVERY COLOUR. Honestly, smaller boobed ladies, get on this one.

You can check out this one here. It cost $23.97/€22/£19 and comes in four different colours.

Aerie Real Sunnie Wireless Push Up Bra

Review Aerie wireless bras bralettes
Not the perfect fit but incredibly effective when it comes to being a push up bra.

OK so I bought this in a 36DDD which didn’t fit quite right. There was no E option. When I did my second order I ordered a similar bra in a 38DD because I thought going up a back size might give me more room in the bust and the fit was so much better. So that might be an option if you don’t see your exact size on the site. The 38DD was actually perfect.

Anyway, the Aerie Real Sunnie Wireless Push Up Bra does exactly what it says on the tin, it really hoists the girls up there. Honestly, I didn’t know such elevation was possible without a wire. It is WILD. However, it does have quite a bit of padding, which I don’t really love. But otherwise, I found it really comfortable even though it’s not the perfect size for me.

You can check the bra out here. It think I got this one on clearance for cheap but at the mo it costs $24.97/€23/£20 and comes in black and nude.

Youtube Aerie Bralette and Wireless Bra Try on Haul

In case you’re more of a visual person I did a whole Youtube video about these wireless bras and bralettes too. I’d love if you’d take the time to like the video and subscribe to my channel, means a lot! Thanks for watching.

Time to Wrap it up

OK, so that’s all five of the Aerie bralettes and wireless bras that I tried. I hope you enjoyed my review and hopefully it brings some of you guys some extra comfort and changes a few minds about bralettes and wireless bras. They can be an option and when you find the right one it’s an absolute game changer for that work from home life!

Road Tripping Dartmoor National Park

Exploring Dartmoor in the Vauxhall Mokka X United Kingdom Petting a wild pony in Dartmoor National Park probably wasn’t the best idea. It lunged for my hand, attempting to bite. There’s a reason these furry ponies are called “wild!” Dartmoor has sometimes been described as the ‘last wilderness’ of the United Kingdom. Its vast open landscape is home to a variety of unique features — wet peaty bogs, stunted oak forests, rocky outcroppings called “tors”, and icy mountain waterfalls. If you’re looking to escape London for a while, Dartmoor National Park is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the serenity of nature. The park is only a 4-5 hour drive away from the hustle & bustle of the city. My friends at Vauxhall loaned me their new Mokka X SUV for the trip, a fun city-friendly turbo diesel with 4×4 capability that can handle off-the-beaten-path adventures. Why Koh Mook is My New Favourite Thai Island

I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand. It’s one of my favourite countries in the world, however basic that may make me. I just can’t get enough of this beautiful, warm, and fascinating country. Ever since my first visit in 2011, I’ve made the effort to return each and every year, and with each new visit, I attempt to check out a new part of the country.  Last year, it was time to visit the Trang islands, and they fast became my favourite area in all of Thailand. And Koh Mook? My new favourite island. My first glimpse of Koh Mook, from the ferry ride to shore. Yeah, that beach looked pretty wonderful. I’d loved the previous few days I’d spent on expensive Koh Ngai, but I was excited to move on. Island-hopping in Thailand is one of my favourite pastimes so the prospect of checking out a new spot always has me bouncing around a ferry with excitement.  Koh Mook was just a seven-mile journey from Koh Ngai, so we reached the island in around half an hour, pulling up to a super-long pier

12 Things from Trader Joe’s to Take on a Plane

We love Trader Joe’s lists that have cropped up on the internet lately, like this one or this one. And, surprisingly, Trader Joe’s pasta won a New York magazine taste test over more expensive pasta brands. But we wondered – what are the best items for travelers to pick up at Trader Joe’s? Portable products are key – we can’t tote a pack of frozen mandarin orange chicken in our carry-on bag. Our Virtuoso picks for the best Trader Joe’s items to bring on a plane: Freeze-Dried Fruit   Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and more – when you need a shot of antioxidants and a bland airport melon cup won’t do, Trader Joe’s freeze-dried fruit is the answer. Kids love them! Bring a wet wipe to clean fruit-stained fingers. Bars, Bars, Bars A must-have in every plane bag is your favorite granola bar or energy bar.
